Construction of a Passenger Terminal near Mohács
Near Mohács, we installed an Interlighter barge that can also function as a mooring point, ensuring the safe reception of passenger vessels. The floating unit was transported from Újpest using the push boat Zsombor, and within a single day, we established a temporary passenger terminal along the right bank of the Danube.
During execution, the barge was secured using anchoring and shore lines. With the assistance of the floating crane Clark Ádám, we installed the support beams and the access gangway. The connection is ensured by a steel bridge seat, which allows the structure to follow water level fluctuations while providing a stable walking surface.
The project was carried out through the coordinated execution of navigation, lifting, and installation operations, taking into account the river’s current conditions. Since completion, the terminal has been reliably serving passenger traffic.
